How can I ask my customers to subscribe for text marketing?

There are multiple ways to get opt-in and you can use all.

  1. At point of sale: If you have installed Colligso TextIn on Clover, Poynt, Shopify , Square or Vend you only have to prompt them to give their mobile number (text receipt, customer entry, order entry) at the time of sale. Your customers are automatically sent a message by TextIn asking to follow your business. 
  2. Print, Social media and Web: Ask customers to send Yes or other supported keyword to your assigned SMS number (only US and Canada). You can provide this instruction in emails, on payment receipts, with signs on-premise, on your website, on social media pages and verbally.
  3. QR Code: Generate a QR code to send SMS message Yes to your assigned SMS number (only US and Canada). Print the QR code and make it visible with instructions where customers can see it. 
  4. Text campaign: Run a pre-built campaign to get opt-in for customers imported into Colligso (csv, spreadsheet, point of sale, etc.). Click: Menu->Campaigns->All. Just set up its schedule and activate the campaign whose name starts with phone_text_default. No other changes are required.
  5. Integration: If you have integrated Colligso TextIn with an app via AppyPie Connect, Make (Integromat) or Zapier, it will automatically send opt-in request to the customer once customer's mobile# is submitted on that app.

Take a look at the samples provided in CTIA's Short Code Monitoring Handbook. Examples are relevant for your assigned 10DLC SMS number too. TextIn adds instructions to opt-out in every outgoing message so you do not need to. TextIn would also provide the default Help and Opt-out confirmation messages.
